These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Dinker (the “App”), operated by Bryant Nagooyen (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the App.

1. What Dinker Is
Dinker lets you create or join private groups with other players, log pickleball matches, and track a skill rating, level, and leaderboard rank within each group. The App is provided free of charge. It is not affiliated with DUPR, USA Pickleball, or any other rating or governing body.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when creating an account (or, if you sign in with Apple/Google, the account information those providers share with us).
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Dinker.
- One account per person. Don’t create accounts to impersonate someone else.
3. Groups, Matches, and Ratings
- Groups are user-created and self-governed. Anyone with an invite code, or anyone a group admin adds, can join a group and see its leaderboard and match history.
- Group admins can remove members, edit group settings, and resolve disputes raised within that group. We are not involved in day-to-day group moderation.
- Match results are self-reported by players. Unless a group has “trust mode” enabled, the opponent must confirm a logged match before ratings update. Unconfirmed matches expire automatically after about 48 hours.
- Disputes: if a player disputes a match, it is frozen until a group admin resolves or dismisses it. We do not arbitrate disputes between players.
- Ratings are informational and per-group. They are calculated with the Glicko-2 algorithm from the match data entered into the App. We make no guarantee that a rating reflects real-world skill, and ratings can be affected by inaccurate or bad-faith data entry by users. Ratings do not carry over between groups.
- Pending players: you may log a match against someone who hasn’t signed up yet. This creates a placeholder profile with the match results attached. If that person later signs up and claims the placeholder using an invite link, the history transfers to their real account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Enter fabricated match results, impersonate another player, or otherwise manipulate ratings or leaderboards in bad faith
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Use the App to collect other users’ information for purposes outside the App
- Attempt to access another user’s account, bypass rate limits, or interfere with the App’s normal operation
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell any part of the App or its data
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you add to Dinker (display name, avatar, match data you enter). By adding it, you grant us a license to store, display, and process it as needed to operate the App’s features described in our Privacy Policy — for example, showing your match history to other members of your group.
6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the App, or by emailing us (see our Privacy Policy for details). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ends, though data may be retained or deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers
Dinker is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that ratings and match data will always be accurate — the App depends on data entered by users, and we cannot verify every match took place as described.
Pickleball is a physical activity with inherent risk of injury. You play at your own risk. Dinker is a record-keeping and rating tool only; it does not organize, supervise, or insure any matches, courts, or events.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including disputes between players, inaccurate ratings, or loss of data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us to use it (which, currently, is $0).
9. Changes to the App or Terms
We may modify or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continuing to use Dinker after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
